intake manifold install went bad... help!!!!
put my obx intake manifold on today and now my car won't start, engines a d16z6, problem is there is no spot for two of the sensors which were on the old manifold, the two sensors on the thottle body r obviously back on, but the sensor beside tb on the manifold and the sensor at the bottom right, have no spots, r they important ? help !!!! pls

sounds like a missing IACV and possibly MAP sensor?? I mean... what sensors don't you have... cuz AFAIK FITV and TPS sensors are on the t-body itself. You'll prolly have to swap throttle bodies to something else.

i'm assuming the the one i am missing is the map sensor, i have the tps on the thottle body and the sensor at the back of the tb not sure what that one is, is there any other engines obd1 of course that have a external map sensor thats not attached directled to the manifold ????

there is all kinds of stuff on the back of an intake mani...EVAP control, FITV, IACV, MAP, and TPS are all in the area (t/b or mani). Anyways, each sensor has a part # on it, why don't you post the part #s and I'll tell you what the sensors are.

This is just a though, I recently installed a Jet v force, the manual itself has all of the color codes and locations for the tps sensor as well as the map. You should call Jet and tell them to send you and install manual. If your still beat, I may be able to send you pages from mine. If you need the info email me at ryan-h@quickmill.com. Good luck.

I don't particularly care but someone may have the same problem some day and if you post your fix maybe it will help someone.

the sensor Idle Air Control Valve IACV or Electronic Air Control Valve EACV uses the coolant temp and air temp to control the vehicle's idle, it's hooked up to the coolant lines but i have no way to hook it up to get the air temp, but i guess just using the coolant line is good enough, because it idles fine.....
