I was not sure where to post this but since I have a ZC, I decided to post here.

I have just finished my tranny swap. I had broken a wire in the process of doing it. It is a yellow wire that looks like it's coming from the firewall. It ends up turning black but I have no idea where it goes. Also my car is only cranking and not starting (was working fine before) and I hope that this disconnected wire is the cause.

Zoomed Out. The long black wire that goes across the head is the same wire.

firstly, trace the wire both forward and back....
where does it lead to??
where does it come from??
any power going thru it?? if so, is it switched power or constant??
or maybe it's a ground??

so many possibilities i wouldn't **** around guessing at it from only what you describe

its not a oem wire thats for sure

Yea, I figured it out. It goes to the tach that the previous owner installed. So I guess it's supposed to go to the negative side of the coil.
