distributor wiring

i have a 98 dx, i'm putting a obd1 b18b in it. my question is on the wiring of the distributor,....i changed the plug on the harness to a obd1 plug but the car has no spark!...i've repinned it before but only on a obd1 vtec dizzy, is it the same on non-vtec dizzy?

can i use a vtec dizzy and a non-vtec motor? will it run fine?

I can only recomend getting the right dizzy for your motor.
It might be able to fire up but it will probobly run like **** because the dizzy isn't for the motor.
