both heads are very similar, but most say the Z6 is a better flowing head, while the Y8 is a better flowing intake manifold. MOST SAY... I personally don't know, I don't have a flow bench in my pocket.

but guys say that the Y8 and Y5 use the same casting, therefore the flow aspect of the Y8 is compromised in favour of Y5's fuel economy... they try to put a swirl into the charge as it enters the cylinder to promote more even distribution of fuel so they can achieve a leaner burn.

why not just go buy a mint running z6 for like 260 bux like i did? its alot cheaper then an engine rebuild.

i dont want to buy a new engine i just bought my like 3 months ago
and i already have a 1.6 engine
just no vtec

You can buy a JDM d series vtec for $500. It say's its a D15vtec.
Don't waste all this time on some ZC you got for cheap. Its not even the DOHC. I got a DOHC ZC with a wrecked bottom end for $50. There a dime a dozen. Summer's almost here and life is too short. Go buy a ZC or a D series with Vtec. You can buy everything you need and have it installed for well under $2000. I knew a Guy who got a Complete ZC swap for $1000 INCLUDING installation. Just look around and start pricing thing's out. Call some shops.
