cant take it out with pliers b/c it is still threaded in...ct can get it out for like 120 bucks!...it's the fastest way to go to get my car back on hte road.....they said they use something called EZ-OUT at a machine shop

I'm screwed.....Ct says 225 to 'attempt' to get the spark plug out...looks like i'm gonna swap heads for a 5th gen head for 500 at ksr....would liek to swap for something more but dont have the cash..is this a good idea?

If I could remove the head that I would not have this prob!!!....to do it a shop they sd 900 at least so I might as well swap for the vtec head (vtec not connected but can hook up later) My head is just spinning b/cI was not expecting this expense..soes anyone have this swap at all? Is it a good idea? just needs some advise and quick if possible b/c i need to make the decision today!

I guess I'm too late, but I would've suggested the ez out route as well. I'm not exactly sure, but I don't think an ez out kit is that expensive... depending on the type you get. Where I work, we've had to use them a few times to remove oil drain plugs when the head has completely broken off.
If it's not too late, I'd suggest getting your car out of CTC and try the ez out. Just make sure you know what you're doing.
