it will run poorly.

you can go OBD1 ECU P28 and convert your car to OBD1

or you can do it the ghetto way and just run an RPM pill to activate VTEC or you can use an Apexi VAFC

Or you could do it the smart way which is to buy either an OBD-0 B16 ECU or a 90-91 EX auto sedan ecu and have either chipped to the proper map for your motor. And its not that expensive if you look around.

If it's a sohc vtec engine P28 is the way to go. Why would you want to use a b series ecu on a d series motor.

Uh buddy, what series of motor it ran makes no damn difference, the internals are still basically the same except one is meant to run V-TEC and there for it also has different fuel and timing maps, the only thing that really makes it different is its programming. Converting to OBD-1 for an EF is stupid when there is so much support for OBD-0 ECU's and the ECU's can be had fairly cheap as well.

Just make sure you get it rechipped with the proper OEM map to match that engine. I have a friend who sockets and programs OBD-0 ECU's pm me if you are interested.
