Car makes weird noise at certain RPM please help

Just recently my car has started making this noise from about 3000-3700RPM, its a weird like either rubbing, hissing noise. I have no idea what it is, it just started happening now. Could it be the heat shield? I'm at a total loss

until you better describe the noise and location, doubt you'll get much help.

oppppsss sorry
the noise sounds like its comming from either underneith the car from the wheels to about the cat somehwre in that area, it only kicks in at that RPM range and again its like a rubbing/hissing noise, thats about all I can say

So ya the noise I think is comming from the front wheels to the cat somewhere in that area.

Hope that helps

Sounds like a midpipe leak.

best thing to do is look under car while someone else is revving it..

you'll be able to pin-point exact location and most likely see whatever it is too.. like hole in midpipe....

Aight, where is the mid pipe again? Is it what connects the headers to the cat ?

lol doesn't mean your headers are shot.. but sure why not.. get some new headers too!

check your axle pipe too.. Cat back pipe.. could be around there.
