oh by the way dan you CAN fit a larger battery in the stock location... look at blairs car he has A HUGE eliminator in the stock location.

not with my engine.. it will rest on the clutch bracket or touch the cai
theoretically i COULD fit it there.. but it owuld be on top of ****

it also looks like ******* when you have a batt in your trunk

how are you going to get the alternator power to both batteries?

If it looks like ******* with a battery in your trunk then all BMWs look like *******. If you put a battery in your trunk you need to vent it outside. So make a box if you dont want to buy one OR buy an optima, or any other spiral cell battery. They are sealed and produce no gas when they are charging. BTW the gas that batterys produce is hydrogen and a little bit of oxygen from the water inside them breaking down (ill save the chemestry lesson).
Now, if you want to run two batteries or one, the connections are the same. Just connect the ground to the chasis if you want but sometimes this causes problems (bad continuity in the body). The best way is to connect the ground to the engine block and the positive to the bus bar in the underhood fuse box and the starter.

made a bracket for it and bought an isolater.. if its warm tommorrow i may do the install
