I'm looking to replace the battery on my wife's 2000 Civic sedan.

Want to get the biggest/most powerful one that will fit.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

on my 99 sedan, i replaced the oem panasonic battery earlier this year with the energizer one from walmart. it was under $100...i did some research first and found all the reviews to be positive...havent had any issues so far.

for more power, you can consider getting an optima model.

Honda now offers a 500 CCA battery in the stock size now. Not all dealers carry them...but they can be ordered.

I just bought an Exide battery today coincidentally. From Part Source, 74.99 + core + tax.

Anybody have any comments about this battery? It's rated at 450 CCA.

Just get a battery with a good warranty. No need for 900CA on a civic.

x 2... if you really care about amps, look at the CCA as thats what you'll actually need in winter... the CA on any battery you get will be sufficent for a civic.

450 cca should be alright. a little low in my opinion, but a battery jacket will probably help

a 323i has a battery that has 900 ca ... why???? I don't know...

From personally experience, stay away from the Optima Yellow Top that is made for the civic/integra.

i not sure if Optima still makes them anymore due to so many problems...
