Disconnected battery now alarm going crazy and car wont statr!!

Help anyone,

I disconnected the battery in my 96 si and reconnected, and alarm is going crazy as well as the car wont start. The alarm is really old and is made by a company called carbine. Any advice would be apreciated....

Could be that your car car is equipped with some kind of immobilizer. On some, when you disconnect the battery, it arms when you reconnect it.

Its the same as the compustar **** im pretty sure and im guessing it does have an immobilizer you need to click I and II in a certain way an turn the key ill post up if i find it! i had the same problem but i had a compustar alarm.

unplug the harness for the alarm from the brain and start it.

if that doesn't work, and it probably will. then this work on a car I changed a battery on at work. disconnect the battery, turn the key to the "on" position re-connect the battery. start the car.

if not bypass the ignition harness with another and then start the car.
(its basically plug and play). drive it to a shop and have your key or alarm changed/reprogrammed
