another vtec question

another vtec question
as i was about to wire up my vtec for my type R swap, i realized that there is vtec solenoid but there's no vtec pressure switch sensor (2 wires, 1 ground and 1 oil pressure sensor)....just wondering if this is normal or do i need to get this purchase this particular sensor and install it

you definately need the pressure switch, otherwise you will get a code 22 and vtec won't work.
