I ve done it before with no problems ... If it worries you that much then just drained all the oil and refill it... Unless you can drained a little bit but that may be trickier..

nothing is going to happen to your car if you just drive it 10 km. I drove mine like that for 1000 kms ( next oil change) and it was fine... You only have 3 choices

1 drain the oil at your driveway and put in new one ( may get dirty or trickier if you dont have the right tools)

2 Drive it 10k ( best option) and get it look at

3 tow it !! (if you feel like contributing to the bad economy )

Your engine takes 3.5L of oil. You filled another 2.5? That's 7ish leters. If I was you, I would get a tub and drain some out. Mind you, you will get very very dirty. Have a lot of rags around. When you take the drain bolt out for a brief moment it will be challanging to put it back on, but I've done worse. As long as you are not afraid of some oil.

You could drive down to your mechanic, but its really not too good for the seals.

As mentioned above, you could just do the oil change yourself. 15minutes max.

Don't you have a jack inside your car for tire blow outs? I find it hard to believe you can't ask one of your neighbours to borrow their spare tire jack and find a bucket or something. Laziness.......

DO NOT go under your car if you are using the cheezy spare tire jack! Support the car on jack-stands, then go under. The spare tire jack is only ment for an emergency tire change, they are not very strong and not to be trusted to use as a jack-stand.

Just to inform, in most cars, the dip stick shows only the top litre of oil. Meaning if it's near the bottom of the dip stick, that doesn't mean you're out of oil completely. It just means your down about a litre. So you should only add a litre. Add a half-litre at a time or so, and keep checking the dipstick as to not over fill it.

If you have 2.5L over the amount that should be in there, it must be drained. A litre over isn't too bad, but 2.5L over is too much.

just pull it up on a curb near a drain. The car will be up high enough and well supported. Drain the oil down the drain. Use a little break clean to spray down the evidence and bob's your uncle.

Some of us have a gear head or support badge... I think we should create a redneck badge.
This thread is hilarious!
Just drive the 10km and get it changed... How much trouble are you willing to put yourself through to drain 2Ls of oil. I can't safe it's safe, but I can speculate... and I don't think you're in much trouble. (10km drive right, and no racing!?)
