rust.... i think??

rust.... i think??

i noticed just about the back tires its kidna starting to ruse.. about 5 days ago it looked brand new.. now it just started and i don't know if its rust? is there anything i can do to prevent this or ,... well im painting it in the summer and would the rust still come? its not like RUST... its kinda a color of rust and it won't rub of..

not if they paint it....and they can't just paint over it, becaue then it will bubble........wut they might do is grind it out ,if its surface rust......or if its a **** body shop...the'll use ...BONDO..........

Does your car have 4 wheel disc brakes?

That rust colour might be from the brake dust that is on the tires after you drive for a while.

Try tire cleaner from Crapy Tire.


That rust/brown colour can also happen when you use some tire shinning products, and you don't wash the tires before you spay them with tire shine.

(that's if this is what he means) If not, I'm as well.

That's the most common place for a Civic to rust...behind the rear wheels where the body meets the bumper. It rusts from the inside out, so even 2 years ago, it would have already been too late to fix. The only fix for this is cutting the rust out and welding a patch panel in. Body shops do it all the time.
