i m with everyone here man , just get a manual and you are going to feel the need to drive it
I bought my manual civic without knowing how to drive it. My dad had to go pick it up with me and drive it home.
The very same day i just went out by myself to drive it . I knew the basics of first, second, third,s fourth and fifth gear ( you can learn that before even driving a standard or ask someone that drives stick )
The very first day i drove my civic i went from Mississauga to oak ville (my friends place) only stalled twice ( i got scared when cars were behind me in a red light)
After the first week i probably stalled 4 times but i was driving the car to work everyday. After that i just got used to it .
The only thing you need to watch is when you are uphill in a red light , for me to perfect that it took me like a month or two until i was really comfortable (specially in rush hour).
Best place to practice is prob oakville , milton , or any empty mall

Back home in the East Coast, you can bring home a car you're interested in buying for a few days and test drive it until you decide to buy or not. Too bad that doesn't apply here in the GTA cause you can really learn to drive stick without spending any money except for the gas you burn. Maritimes FTW.

Debating whether to let you learn on my EM1, the clutch is on it's way out to begin with...lol. And I need the money.
Honestly, it's not hard, yet some ppl just have the nac for it and some just don't. But I'd say for most ppl it becomes 2nd nature.
I'll send you a PM.

I would do it for free, but being currently unemployed with bills coming out our ears, I/we really need the cash. And I am willing to help this guy out.
The reason I laughed is because I've got it in your head now. Whether you like it or not. You know what I'm talking about. And good for you for remembering "wwjd".
