honestly, ive never driven.. or at least, properly managed to drive, manual before i bought my car in december. the only advice i got was to let the clutch out slowly and i managed to get it home with that. sure, stalled out a few times in downtown rush-hour traffic but then again the cluster also lacks a tach so it was a lot of ol fashioned hit n miss.

been a month and i havent broken anything learning it myself so i doubt it's worth paying someone else for their patience

There are a few out there as you prolly have to pay a bit more as some rental only carry sports model in manual.

first step to successfully driving standard is to be mentally ready...you have to imagine yourself shifting before you actually get in the car. you must understand the corelation between the clutch pedal and the shift stick...it's not about getting in a car and just driving.....u have to be mentally prepared for it...serious

oh yea and u have to practice to get better...so get a car and practice...buy a pos car for $500 or something and drive it....

If you're serious about this and are willing to pay $150 up front, I have no problem spending a day and teaching you in my truck.

But I'm driving an 06 STi right now and I don't think thats the greatest car to learn on.

If you really want to learn, I can teach you, I have taught more then 5 people how to drive in high school, today they show off to me how good they are.lol

It will take you at least a week to learn by yourself, no one can learn to drive a manual in one day.

I'll teach you for free, it’s just another way I’ll be giving back to society, only problem is I will need this week off, before I can teach you next Saturday and Sunday.

let me know, oh and you better not be a rapist or something, I’m black belt in kung –fu.

I’ve had few incidents where I tried to help people and they turned out to be thieves or crooks who tried to jack me, but got their asses kicked to the curb.

other than that, all I have to say, if you learn from me I’ll teach you my secret shifting techniques, power shifting, double clutching and all for you later track days, but that will just be a oral discussion, I’ll only teach you so you can drive manual.
