most likely symptoms check this or replace:

Ball joints, drive shaft/cv boot, tranny and clutch...

Yes but only when I accelerate after shifting gears. The shifting of the gears is all smooth so I don't think it's a tranny problem.

yea same here but when i'm shifting up to 2nd or down to 2nd i hear a soft grinding noise as if it was internal like in the tranny some small parts or something

do u hear that too?

your gear selector maybe bent. IF that noise is indeed coming from the tranny. check your syncros too :S

But it does sound like what Honda_Civic is tlaking about. the shafts..etc.

Nope, I don't hear that.

What I hear, though, is that the noise when accelerating is louder when I have the air conditioning on. Not sure what that is all about or why it's louder when the A/C is on but I've noticed yesterday and I thought I'd ask.

You loose hp over a A/C... ill take hp anyday lol .. bring a towel around with you haha

I am losing hp with the A/C? What hp? The car barely has 106hp stock. It's not like I have 200hp and I am losing 50. Even if I don't have the A/C on the car is still underpowered.

yea.. an a/c wont really make a difference in how fast my civic goes

n i wouldn really spend money to make it fast.. just buy a faster car!!

not my civic.. xactly my point

i'm jus sayin that i like this car n all but i have my heart set on an STI

so save up now n after graduating and everythin i can afford an STI or if i still have this civic running.. i'l see if i can afford a 350Z

but others probably have a different opinion on this
