Definately want to work on the handling first, lower it, get some good springs on there. Then, I'd go for a nice set of rubbers.
Get everything ready for the future if you plan on doing performance mods afterwards.
After handling and traction is taken care of you can do intake, headers exhaust and a chip if you want.
Hell, throw a K20 in it then turbo it at 22 PSI and run 400hp.

try making ur civic NOT like everyone elses
be original...unless ur goin to the track or motor swaping($$) i/h/e is all u need
try to make some original body mods....but not to ghey......get a lip kit

ya lower it and then a lip kit would be nice.. dont go for full body kits.. those things are freakin retarded now.. keep it simple, keep it clean and dont jump on the JDM bandwagon.. your car would like like 234241314 other peoples
