honestly i have very little experiance with stick welding
for mig anyways we run 1.6mm wire with 320 amps on sheet metal at work... mind you the sheet metal it probably thicker then a honda quarter panel but if you practice you can do it
i got very good at filling in whole made by blowing holes at work hahaha
