No dark enough???

So here is my story. I ve been pulled over twice for my tinting. One tickets (which was thrown out) and one warning . Therefore I decided to go regular black tinting.

I ve been getting pulled over lately ( 3 times in the last week) , i think it has a lot to do with my car been modified ( being a target) therefore I m trying my best to make my car look look good but not too good ( if you know what i mean).. I cant aford going to court and getting tickets for dumb reasons ( seriously dumb tickers)

Anyways I went to audio heaven today to do my tints, 300 bucks to remove and put new ones on. I was scare o going to dark so I just went 23% all around. I love the work they do , pretty good good , excellent customer service. However I find myself wondering if I should of went darker in the back!!!

I dont know how many of you have been in this situation , but I m close of going back and just take out the rear and put darker ones. Of course my wife wants to kill me !

I called audioheaven and ask if it was possible just to the rear window ( just the 1 rear window) and make it 17% but i was told this will messed up all my tints. It will cost me 230 to redo the rear ( 3 windows) which is what they recommend..

I found that the reason the rear (one window) looks too light is because my car is grey and the light comming directly from the front windshield makes it look lighter than what it actually is..

I have no problem with my four side windows , just the rear!

any advice on how to fix it without damaging my pocket too much ( i just spent 300$$)

Leave it the way it is man. 23% is pretty dark as is. It would be pretty stupid to spend close to 5 bills on getting tints done in 1 month. Spend the 300 on other stuff.

35% front is what's legal, if you are at 23% its already past the limit.
As persia said, just live with what it is. Too much money to spend on something quite irrelevant.

Finally got around and took some pics of the new tint.. It actually looks a little darker than before , i may be the lighting

on a side note. Maybe the gear team can help but I m wondering how can the white smoke keeps comming out of my exhaust. I know its normal in weather like this but lately i been noticing that its always comming out. I was thinking it may be the head gasket , but my car does not overheat, no loss of coolant ( its at the same level as last week) and its running well.

that is actually false

There is no restriction on window tint or colouring on rear windows as long as there are side mirrors providing a clear view to the rear. A driver must have a clear view out of the front windows and the windshield and a police officer must have a clear view in.

It really is one of those things thats based on the officer that pulled you over. I have been pulled over before and have never once had a cop say my tints are too dark and I have 20%.

As far as i know , and this is i was told by an officer and guys at audio heaven , is that as long as the police officer feels that he can not see you inside you could get a ticket . Regardless if you have a 35% , 20% , 15% tint. I guess you could pull the 35% card in court and come out clean.

My tint actually looks lighter than the pic , i guess its the lighting but anyways the guys at audio heaven did a great job and i m starting to get used to it.

I was also pulled over before with my old tints (mirror type) and the officers never said anything. I guess it depends on the officer.

It's been a few weeks, Ricardo. Do you like the tint now, did you get used to it?
Sometimes that's all it takes...although not always. How do you feel about the percentage since you've had a bit of time?

Yes I got used to them... I just wish the back was a bit darker but audioheaven did a good job so the tints look pretty good ..!!

On the plus side I dont get hassle by cops anymore ! so that is a great thing because I was getting tired of getting pulled over 3 times a week
