Alright..i've been on here for just under a month...and sometimes I feel people are writing in code... "got my ek, with an eg, with a b16 "...

WTF?????????????

Are these just model types for certain years?

It's like every other post I feel as if I need a dictionary to decipher what i'm reading. Anyways...i'm biting the bullet, sucking up my pride, and asking.

yes ek/eg are models

ek 96-2000
eg 92-95
ef 88-91

b16 = a motor
b18 etc b20 b17

b = the series of motor and the 16/18 /20 = displacment like 16 = 1.6L

H22 - 2.2 litre motor with vtec out of the prelude

B16 - 1.6 litre motor (dual overhead cam) with vtec (earlier models could be found in the del sol, and later in the 99-00 SiR)

B18 - 1.8 litre motor found in the integra found in both vtec and non-vtec versions.

B20 - 2 litre motor used in the older models of the CRV, new models of the CRV are running the K24.

K20 - this motor can be found in the new SiR and the Acura RSX, there are differently tuned versions.

K24 - found in the new CRV, Acura TSX, new Honda Accord, they are differently tuned for different applications.

There are more, and probably more information you can get on each of these, but I'm tired of typing

ek, eg, and ef are civic body codes...(kind of like j body = cavalier)

then you have models like - CX, DX, EX, SI, SE and such for civics.

this post cracked me up.
i was like LOL then i thought wait it is more LMAO then i was like BRB i need to go take a dump in the toilet. then i re-read the thread and was like cantonagod made a small mistake i was like LMFAO. cuz cx, dx, si etc isnt a model its a trim level. model would be the actual name of the vehicle ie. civic, accord and make would be honda.

i think i GTG before this thread gets IBTL but before that i will just TTT this thread so no one else has to BUMP this thread with useless comments

LOL
