Laggy fuel pump or not enough fuel pressure

I'm totally confused with my car. When I'm accelerating at WOT my car seems to accelerate slower than as if I gradually applied the accerator pedal. Is it because my fuel pump can't keep up with the mods I've put in or because I'm putting too much air in the engine?

I need to get this figured out before I beat the life outta my engine.:working:

Thx

cold air intake, 9mm ignition wires, Mugen ECU chip, CRX Si camshaft.

The Mugen chip is probably making you run rich. See any black smoke comin' outta your tail pipe when WOT??

BTW, love that photochop Dan Wish I had those skillz.

You have a non-VTEc motor and you're running a mugen program??

Ya, its a non Mugen program designed for non VTEC engines.

Better spark mappings, fuel mappings, air to fuel ratio, higher rev limit, no speed limit.

Nope, no black smoke.

I'm thinking I need a fuel pressure regulator, because when I start off my car accelerates...then slows down a bit and then continues off. It seems that the pressure in the fuel line decreases as the engine accelerates off first gear and then goes back to normal.

b4 u add the fuel regulator...check the A/F ratio.....u may run rich.

back to fuel regulator, its only need if ur car ar heavily mod. also it makes ur fuel consumption higher if u running too rich already.

sorry..typo there, its a Mugen program....disregard that "non Mugen"

What happens is that when the car is cold is runs excellent, but once it warms up my idle is between 500 and 700.

I think that's too low.

How do I know if I'm running too rich, how can i test this?

idle btw 500-700?? wht's wrong with that? my car idel at the range when it warms...seems quite normal

i think u wont able to check it except u get a A/F meter. i think there's a store nearby yorkdale mall which has dyno machine. they have the a/f meter for rent if u need it but they only let u rent it when u dyno ur car at the store.

That's something I should get.
