yes, as you can see with this bulb it still uses the original round tip LED bulbs which has the pinpoint pattern...the new flat tip ones give a nearly 360* light patter like that of a conventional bulb...not trying to argue just informing

Those last headlights shown are stock 96-98 lights.

Granted, but that style of lamp places a lower ring of LEDs closer to the focal point expected by the reflector backing in which the bulb is mounted. That would make them a better light-source "fit" for the reflector than a bulb with just an upper ring of outward facing LEDs regardless of whether they are round-top or flats.

Either way, flat LED or rounded LED, with lower ring or not, LED bulbs do not mimic the light output properties of a standard incandescent light bulb well enough to work efficiently with a reflector designed to work with a standard bulb.

If you want to use LEDs in a tail light, it needs to be purpose-designed. Retrofit bulbs make too many compromises in their currently-available designs.

It may show the bulb pinpoints right at the bulb location, but not at their original intensity, especially when viewed off-angle. The rest of the tail light lens is just a dull glow whereas it should be lit up brightly and evenly all the way across the entire lens surface. On a bright sunny day, the light will be almost unnoticeable no matter how much you try to convince yourself it is just "fine".

On top of that, you've rendered the passive reflectors in the rear and side lens completely ineffective. When that car is parked on the side of the road at night without its lights on, or worse, stalled in the middle of the road, it may as well have a camouflage net thrown over it as far as cars coming up behind are concerned.

It might make your car look different from others, but it's still a stupidly unsafe mod the way that you've done it.

When there's light hitting it, the reflectors still reflect, and at night time you can still see the light from all angles. I plus here's another thing, I really don't care what you think of it.

True, it doesn't matter what I think.

The cop who pulls you over for it though is another matter, as is the transport that runs right over you because you weren't visible enough from behind.
