Dead scene? Even RHD?

Dead scene? Even RHD?
Hey guys, long time Honda/civic builder and fan. First time on these forums since 2011 and i'm incredibly disappointed. Is the scene we once knew and loved dead?
What happened to all the buzz that used to be on the streets and these forums!?
I made some new connections and was looking at attempting to generate interest on some freshly imported CRX's, EF's and a few EG's but from looking at things around here its a thing of the past.
What sparked my initial interest in getting back into the scene was all the US guys are buying up the early model JDM civics and crx's and I wanted to bring a few back home and help keep the culture alive.
Anyone else have similar interest?

Can't comment on the street scene, but, generally speaking, this forum (and possibly others) have gone through changes for various reasons. Just the same, forums have a wealth of information, pics and history. Hope you'll stay and discuss your interests, start a build thread, post photos...maybe enthusiasm is contagious.

It's disappointing that the early enthusiasts who contributed so much to this site in the past aren't around, but there are some die-hards who have stayed and, you're right...new members are joining continually.

def nothing wrong with old school I dd a 91 integ. The insurance problem applies more to people who don't already own a RHD vehicle. If you've owned one before or at least currently and are looking to replace it with another or add one to your stable then the same company you're with will usually cover you but regardless of driving record, if you just bought one, not many companies will touch that and the ones that do want all kinds of inspections done and only by certain people they approve. I have a friend who recently bought an ACTY. It's a tiny little 3 cyl truck. Not some crazy 276HP GTR that everyone knows is gonna end up with a lot more boost and power. Clean record never any traffic tickets or anything, I'd be surprised to learn of even a parking ticket and the trucks been at my shop for months cause it's been 2 steps forward one step back every time they talk to insurance to say they did as was asked of them, they get more crap to do first.
Don't get me wrong I love JDM cars and find driving RHD to be no problem (left turns at big intersections suck tho) I wish it wasn't the case but my point really is that most people into cars are younger and don't wanna deal with all the hassle of insuring a RHD. Getting a decent rate on a normal cars bad enough.
