Importing RHD EG6 & RHD front clips

I had a random thought that if i dont sell my car.
Of just going all out in the next long while.
And im looking into RHD conversion

Ive only found a few things on the net that will either sell a front clip or import a whole chassis.

www.passwordjdm.com has a whole front clip for around 600$ (my aunt who lives in ohio would work with the shipping)

And well ebay.ca for whole chassis

www.jdm-imports.com are taking their time on replying me back

Im just tryin to see if anyone else knows any sites and whatnot.
i just wanna get a general idea.

And i do realize importing a whole chassis wil most likely rape me with duty and all. But like i said. im just randomly inquirering about it

So if anyone knows anywhere. help me out!

You can import 91 EG from JPN for about $6K. It's RHD & already have a B16a under the hood. Plus it may already have some fancy rims, and mods done to it already.

A front clip -minus powertrain would be around $1000cdn shipped. Now you have to worry about changing out the firewall. If you or the shop mess this up the vehicle will be mis-aligned. IMO I don't think a reweld firewall would be as safe. Also you'll have to deal with the insurance company afterwards.

if i may ask...why do you wanna do this conversion? cuz of the JAY DEE MMM craze? honestly...its a waste....think of taking risky left turns at the lights...or highway lane changes. Our roads were not designed for RHD cars.

right now im not serious about doing it
like i said im just inquirering.

IF i did do it. i wouldnt be driving this thing on the streets. i know how dangerous it is driving RHD on our streets.

And no its not for the whole "JDM" craze. cuz prolly in another 2 years APC will be back again lol
Itd just be because i felt like doing it.
Mr Neb is right. im dreamin :P

eg have cut for 500 CDN with no drivetrain but everything needed to do the swap. lmk if u are interested. and a rhd conversion wouldnt mess up the chassis because the firewall is just like a radsupport it has nothing to do with the actual structure of the car all it does is hold up the parts attached to it.

Why even bother modifying a car? Its a hobby, in the end thats all it come down too.

There is a difference b/w modifying a car and modifying it to a point where it becomes risky and perhaps have legal implications.

I personally know one person whose RHD car (it was an imported Toyota) was t-boned badly while making a left turn..guess what...he was on the right side so the oncoming car literally crushed his right leg and he was hurt elsewhere as well.

He couldnt see clearly the on coming traffic since cars on the opposite side making the left blocked his veiw completely.

I am not saying dont do such a conversion....im only highlighting the the element of risk involved.
