ive been asking around and people tell me to use a transmission out of a honda civic dx. so my question is, can anyone tell me what gears/specs are in the transmission of a 1991 civic dx.

Okay... How big is the track? Like what is the distance it is said to be measured? If its a local track to me, Sunset Speedway, wouldn't you want a tranny from a ZC DOHC to give you that bit more rpms in second gear?

Get the shortest gear tranny. So si transmission it is. Short gears are good, and there is no way you'll get anywhere close to rev limit of 5th

I have a mint working 89 Si tranny with NO grinds I would sell you for $250
I Also have an OEM replacement clutch with lots of life left in it still I could also sell you cheap (Tranny is still in the car, so you can even drive it) I would just need two days notice to remove it if you wanted it

So... I just realised I put $250 and I actually ment to put $150
