trany up shifts late and down shifts early

trany up shifts late and down shifts early
I have a 2000 honda civic and just replaced the standard engine with a regular zc engine from japan. (bought from japan auto parts in toronto) The car is automatic and it shifts late and down shifts early... does anyone know why? or what to do to fix it?
