Transmission Swap Questions ?

Ok i was wonderin if this sounds like a good deal and what should be done and what is an option

I was on the phone with a well known vender and i told them i needed to do a tranny swap.

He said 350 for the swap but then i should do an aglgnment considering he has to drop the lower frame of the car or somthing like that and also resurface the flywheel.

Now that being said i was wondering if its a definite need to be done becasue of funds and stuff ?

My car is a 2002 civic 5speed 4dr non vtec

Also i need a new clutch does anyone know where to get one?

thats realllllyyyy expensive for the resurfacing and the alignment... An alignment should be no more than 70 bucks, normally ~50. Resurfacing a flywheel is usually 40-60$.

Yeah, but you'll want to bring it to an alignment shop asap. As for the cost of swapping the tranny, i think thats a bit much too but i have no idea what shops would charge. Cant see it being more than 3-4 hours, so if shop rate is 70$ an hour, that would be 210-280$

When i did my clutch, i did NOT do alignment after, just eye ball it and count the threads of caster arms. Came out decent.

swap price is about right. Usually range from 200-400$ depending on the shop.
For flywheel resurfacing, it is needed or atleast highly recommended if you swap you clutch. price is a little steep for alignment and resurfacing.
Otherwise it all seems right.
