Exedy Or ACT clutch?
hey guys anyone have feedback on either one of these clutches
I'm looking at a stage 1 Exedy or a Act street clutch (HD pressure plate, performance disc)
I'm kinda partial to Exedy as i've seen them take a good kicking and they are oem manufactuers
But looking for people what setup they have and clutch
Thanks

I had a stage 1 clutchmasters before on my sohc and i was really impressed but it ddnt have enough power so it was a waste of money imo. The clutch pedal feel was really nice. Now i got a stage 1 exedy clutch with a 7.5lbs Fidanza flywheel and for some reason the clutch pedal feels sorta stock but grabs really nice.
I would pick up the ACT over the Exedy. The reason why i went with Exedy cause i got a awsome deal for the clutch and flywheel package.
Here's a video i put up before on another thread but i cant find it so ill paste it here again.

I would definetly buy exeddy over act.
I use a exeddy stage1 on my EG set-up. I have a **** load done to that engine, and I've hit that clutch up for a lot of abuse and she holds up.
Had a brand new act clutch on my old set-up and it sucked for autoX....after a couple of runs the clutch would feel like mash potatoes.
What are your goals?
If your under 200hp then just grab the Exeddy and you'll be golden.

I won't be under 200 whp and i don't want to do it twice I just hope my jdm lsd tranny holds up i'm aiming for 220-250 whp that should be fun enough for now.
Also i plan on alot of track days no 1/4 mile runs
No autox

I just changed my clutch and I am using Defcon's own kevlar clutch. According to Dave, it is between a Stage 1 and Stage 2 of some aftermarket company. The pressure plate is harder than stock (I was using ITR), grips nice.
Price wise, it is very close to a typical Stage 1 clutch set. Defcon races and when Dave told me about this new product, I just went with it.

Defcon clutch? I am not sure, you will have to consult with them.
