I should probably check the level then....and even bleed new fluid into the system and see if that fixes the problem....if it doesn't does that mean my slave cylinder is shot?

lol well I've been reading up a bit on the internet and you can bleed it from a valve on the slave cylinder somewhere haha Hopefully the fluid is just low!

Ok so I checked the resevoir and it was empty so I put some brake fluid in and bled the system and it didn't make any difference!!! I checked and the slave cylinder is moving in and out when the pedal is pressed, but when someone presses the pedal there is a sqeaking sound that comes from inside the tranny where the rod attaches that the slave piston pushes on. Also, when the car is idling there is a weird sound that comes from where the clutch is like there are loose rocks inside bouncing around and when the clutch pedal is pressed the noise goes away.....what could this and my problem be?! Please I need help!!!
Thanks,
Jamie

is it possible to just change the release bearing or do you have to seperate the tranny to get to the clutch etc...?

Apparently the only thing about the release bearing (throw out bearing) is that it just makes noise.....but why wont my clutch pedal act normal? Why is my pedal still so loose and only disengages all the way at full down travel?

Ok so here is a breakdown of the issue: little to no clutch pressure, resevoir is full, system is bled, slave cylinder is moving when pedal is pushed, clutch engages and disengages about 1/2 inch from the floor (wayyy too low)......Need help big time! haha

Did you bleed the clutch properly? Does the clutch slip when you are moving?

I bled the clutch properly as per the service manual. The clutch does not slip whatsoever when I am driving. Rock solid......I think I'm just going to replace the slave cylinder and the master cylinder, both together are $90 so I might as well....I know my release/throw out bearing is shot cause it's making noise, but whatever, I just want my clutch to work properly. Any more advice anyone?! Thanks to all who helped!

Is this a stock 92 clutch?? If so how much more do you expect from a 17 year old clutch??
And from waht I've read so far it definetly sounds like your clutch is on it's last straw.

If you bled your system and no fluid leaked out and also if it did not grab any air then your slave cylinder is fine. Just get a new clutch. Also when you have everything out it would not hurt to get your flywheel machened or just replace with light weight if got some extra $$ laying around.

I'm pretty sure my clutch is fine because it's not slipping and it's not having trouble grabbing at full top travel of the clutch pedal (like it would if it were going)....it is engaging/disengaging at very low travel of the pedal (1/2" from the floor) which I think indicates a shot clutch master cylinder.

Also, my clutch fluid reservoir was empty so my master cylinder is probably leaking because my slave looks ok.....like I said though, I am just going to replace both because it's cheap!

Well obviously if your reservoir was empty you have a leak somewhere. If you pulled back the boot on the slave cylinder and it was DRY, then it's most likely your clutch master leaking into the passenger compartment.
