Does anyone know if a b16 tranny would fit on my 1.7 l seeing as the motors turn in the same direction... Also does anyone know if a b18 motor would fit in my 7th gen civic

I would use an H22A because the price of oil has gone up! lol

I support the B20vtec and LS-VTEC modes. Also, from my experience, the B18C (or B18C5 USD) ITR motor is fantastic! My 96' HD would eat B16's easy. Great Tranny too!

How is it not practical? B18 engines are quite great. As long as you use a shorter gear transmission if you end up using a b18b1 you'll be golden. Also gsr/itr motors are quick.

LOL agreed on the h22 comment.
Though ITR motors are quick, they are slightly overpriced. Ive raced few cars with ITR motors and my b20 w/b16 transmission setup pulls on them every time. There is a user on here with an itr swap in an ek hatch who ran almost a full second slower than me on 1/4 mile.

You could always say that im just a good driver :P

Its not practical because theres no b series motor mounts for that gen civic. I never said B series were bad, i dont hate on a motor that i dont own. Personally i think all honda motors are great.
