I'm assuming it's automatic?

Sounds like it's not down-shifting when you floor it...

Try this, start moving, go to a very high gear, like going 40km/h go to 4th or 5th and floor it, if clutch is slipping, the rpm needle will be going up quicker than you are accelerating.
Should also have a bad smell of burnt clutch when you park up.

I wouldn't recommend just 'any' transmission as it may not compliment the specs of your engine.

I'd go performance clutch if you know your keeping this ride for awhile.

type r and sir are b series engines/trannys, so they wont work at all. You can put on another tranny...but theres no need, its just your clutch. Unless your planning on putting some serious power (from the sound of your experience, your not going to), just get a stock replacement clutch.

Aftermaket replacement clutch by exedy or competition will do you just fine. For transmission, there is no need to replace it, but for some crazy reason you do, make sure you get a transmission off of a vtec motor. Vtec engine with non vtec transmission = very very slow.

yeah, any H series tranny or F series tranny bolts up. You need mounts and axle's for the swap.

its about the same work as any other swap, but nets a lot more tq than b series and d series motors. Its the Honda big block.

its all opinion really. Obv cause i have the h22 swap, i would say go h22a. It depends on how much power you want and how much money you want to spend. The good thing about b series motors that h series motors dont have is good sleeves that can handle boost. The downpoint of the h series is FRM (Fiber Reinforced Metal) sleeves. They cant hold very much boost (6-8 lbs max basically) before blowing. If your planning on making a crazy turbo build, then might as well go h series because

1. Higher displacement (h22 block+h23/f22 crank/rods=2.35 L displacement)
2. You'll have to bore/resleeve the block anyways, so stock sleeves doesnt mattter.
