Do Radar guns work in the rain?
I was coming down Pharmacy today in the crap rain storm and there was a cop doing a radar trap. I was under the impression that it didn't give proper readings in the rain....can someone confirm this. I nearly got a ticket cuz I wasn't expecting it.....and no I wasn't driving like an *** only 65 in a 50 zone

Write a letter asking for "discovery" about two weeks before your trial. You are able to ask for:
1) Repair receipts for the radar device.
2) Officer's training records on the device.
3) Tuning schedule on the device.
4) Full printed manual on the device.
The last part will allow you to learn the radar better than the police, and then carefully challenge (get him to admit), how he used it.
This letter must be sent to the Provincial Prosecutor of your case, and sent my registered letter ($5). Keep the receipt (have the Posties write the full address on the receipt they give you) as proof you sent the letter.
If they fail to disclose this information (you can also ask for disclosure), then your case is thrown out. Otherwise you can proceed with challenging how the officer used the device.
