Red light ticket

I have my first attendence meeting commin up for my red light ticket, its 3 points and 180$ so really hope I can get it reduced somehow, it was raining and it was one of those lights where you can't really decided if you should go or stop, it was raining and it was the evening so I am gonna just say I would have slid into the intersection anyways, and hopefully I can get a reduction of something, if they don't offer me anything I am just gonna take it to court and hopefully the cop will not show... any idea's anyone to help me out?

Good luck with the ticket man. If you don't have any previous tickets you could also argue that this is your first offence and maybe they'll let it slide this time. In any case, this is a tough one to fight.

I wonder if you can claim that this is the first offence of this type, meaning you have had one ticket befor but for something else. I doubt it they'll go with that.

Well, you've just admitted that you were driving too fast for the wet road and weather conditions, and were unable to stop in time. What if, instead of it being a red light, it would have been a kid? Do you really think you'll get sympathy points from a JP in traffic court with that excuse?

thats good to hear

most of the time they reduce it so theres no need to go to court and waste everyones time. they know the points are really what people care about
