Red light camera ticket

Hi, I'm from Toronto. Two months ago I recieved a red light ticket, well my dad did but I drive that car too. The day red light was violated, he didn't have the car so it's me. But tbh i don't even remember doing that, I'm very cautious when driving. But where it happened, I go there a lot plus who else could've done that right. I guess I just didn't notice then or something, on that traffic light the sun shines sooo bright you can hardly tell if its red or green -.- anyway so now in sept 26th I'm seeing the prosecutor.. I'm 18 btw a female. Um yeah so my dad wants me to talk ther, is there anything you suggest I can say /any ideas to bring it down. I'm a uni student, don't work and I feel so bad I did this. Any suggestions? Also, how should I dress? Formal?

I'd say dress in a business casual fashion. But either way yeah in a manner that shows you are serious about this. Maybe bring your father, since I'm guessing it's his car and in his name. I'm also guessing that you went straight though a red? Or was it a right on red kinda thing? Either way this is probably how this will play out

Hey thanks for replying and yeah I didn't make a right turn, went straight. Do you think the prosecutor will bring it down? Have you ever been in a situation like that

Never one like this no. Hard to say what they'll do but in this case, it's just a fine and no points, the camera doesn't prove who was driving the car so as far as running a red goes, you're kinda getting off easy anyway.

Not trying to be a hater or anything, just calling it like I see it. You made a mistake, hopefully you learn from it.

I have about 10 red light camera's in a 10 block radius of my home
They have since installed cross walk count down timers at all of those intersections
the count down now causes extreme actions , people slow down or floor it to try to beat it now
My understanding is they give you a copy of photos showing the car in the intersection at that time make sure it your car and tag

A couple years ago a charity ride I participated in was escorted by the police threw red light camera intersections
Several riders received tickets
Fortunately the ride organization took all tickets before a judge and had them dismissed
