Insurance for my SIR - Belair Direct Inquiries

Currently driving a 2003 Civic SIR.

Currently with Cooperators Insurance piggy backing my dad insurance as secondary driver. (1 fault accident) Pays around $2800 a year. With car rentals, 500 deductibles etc.

I went to Belair Direct online and they quote me $2757 a year as a PRIMARY driver. With the same info I put in as cooperators.

They will give you 5% discount if u apply online, and 12% if u tag your home insurance with it O_o

My questions is..have anyone use this insurance company? Are they trustable? reliable? efficient? This is like too good to be true.

https://www.belairdirect.com <--site I used

I thought it was too good to be true as well because I saved over 50% by switching to them, I switched about eight months ago and haven't used them for any claims, but everything seems good, I'm sticking with them.

belairdirect is actually back by a huge bank for its insurance services... i'll check... belairdirect is trustable, i've never heard complaints about them so far... the only thing they bug me is, they are very careful in their process, that's why i didn't join them... i was in a hurry for a policy... it takes time some time to process you... unless you'er a G with years of experience, then you can pretty much do it over the phone

They seem like a good company my brother was with TD and he was paying almost 8,000 a year for his '03 wrx and he switched to them for his new car which is a newer one and he pays like half now.

I am currently insured with bellair. They are pretty good. Only downside to them is the time they take to process your application..
For me.. I called them.. waited 5 days for them to send me the application..
I filled it, sent it back right away, and they took 3 days to receive it.
Then they will take 15 days to look over your application.
They then will e-mail you and you call them back to set up everything.
After that you have 30 days to take your car to a shop so they can take some pictures.
Other then that, bellair is pretty good. Their insurance is about 1g cheaper then my old insurance company.

I'm currently using Bel Air Direct .. 2nd year with them now.. No faults or tickets.. had a 90 hatchback on my 1st year then 2nd year it dropped like 50% and then i went with a 02 SIR and it was still cheaper then my 1990 civic... which is weird, but ig uess being the car so old the liability on that, etc is crazy

Anyways they have this $0 deductible, and crash proof policy.. meaning your first at fault won't trigger a price hike on ur insurance... also they have this gurantee within 30 mins or was it 15? I keep forgetting that if you are filing a claim, and no one picks up or their very busy or whatever to file your claim within 30 mins since you first called them and u've been waiting to speak to an agent, they will give u up to $1000 off your next year's policy... But as always we don't expect any claims if unnecessary! :-)

Otherwise it's a good company.. pretty big as they have coverage in ON, and QC!!!

They also gave me extra discounts for being a student at a recognized college/ university... Must be full time!! and then the rest for having aftermarket alarms, etc...

My coworker did a quote recently with many of the other company's and she still found that Bel Air is still the cheaper way to go!

There's no agent or whatever hasslin you to complete the sale also because they are non-comissioned

I am with bel air as well and their rates were alot cheaper then the commpany i was with previously.

They have been around a long time but just recently i think they have started to specifically target the youth market.

Im with MelocheMonnex as well. I hate how rates are cheaper per street. I did a est with a street about 4 blocks down and it was $90 cheaper a month! if I live 15 km farther I would save 50%.
