I just switched to Bel-Air, I don't think it would be the best idea to lie about the upgrades because they will inspect your car if it is a Civic no matter what and if they notice the mods in the inspection then they might be suspicous of you.

They gave me the option of a mobile inspector coming to my house to look at my car so I did that. It's a third party company and some guy shows up and takes two pictures of the car, picture of the deck if there is an aftermarket one, and then fills out a report.

He never looked at my engine or measured the ride height, just wrote no modifications for all the categories, but maybe that's because my car is all stock except for tints and a few small things(he still wrote "none" for that category). So I guess he might not notice the suspension depending how low it is but maybe you would have a different experience with the person who comes for your inspection.

They told me about the mobile inspection because they said there wasn't a place to have it inspected very close to where I live. But I am sure if you ask them they will let you use the mobile inspection if you don't want to drive around.

Anyways, I don't know the specifics about the two coverages but I think one will cover repairs to your vehicle if you cause an accident and the other won't. If you are unsure ask them to explain it to you.
