Koni Reds + winter weather = bad idea?

yoes,

i just had a set of koni reds installed with a set of eibach pro-kit springs. GREAT, comfy combo, IMHO. the car's an 00 sir coupe.

prior to installing, it was suggested to me that it'd probably be best to go with a stock springs & shocks instead of the Red's in the winter, because i run the chance of them seizing/blowing up due to temperature drop.

anyone run with koni reds in the winter? i really REALLY don't like the idea of having to swap my suspension in and out every winter season...

any experience/input with this would be most appreciated... thx

put grease on them and just make sure you are not doing anything dumb
like trying to drift or do donuts

Just drive like you always do....you don't need to baby them or grease them or kiss them at night....DON"T WORRY

Also they have a life time warrenty

A:The KONI warranty is a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship and against wear out for as long as you own that car registered for street use. The warranty does not cover damage to the parts caused by misuse, misapplication, installation, motorsports, etc. The warranty does not include mounting bushings. If you determine you have a defective damper you can either contact the company which you purchased the unit(s) from or contact KONI North America directly at warranty@koni-na.com or 859-586-4100. To process your warranty, we will require a copy of the purchase receipt and a vehicle registration. We will generate a return goods authorization (RGA) and can replace the dampers in advance at your discretion. For more specific information about the warranty see inside back cover of our technical guide.

you don't need to grease anything. these reds will outlast the car. the only change in the winter is that the ride gets harsher because of the cold.

The reds will be no different than any other strut in the winter...will not leak because of it etc. no extra care would need to be taken either..only difference you will notice with this is you will drag bottom lol...because you are lowered....i go through this every year...tim hortons drive throughs are the worst ......
