I'll make you a deal. I'll lend you my 70-200 IS USM for 50% of what you are getting paid to do this. j/k.
Post some pics afterwards.

haha....yeah not so fat. infact i had talked to one of the managers like last year to do this as complimentary for them (we are into this community centre big time as a family) but it didnt materialize.
so the new manager called me a few days ago and told me about that discussion and also some new burlington pics she saw on flickr. i said lets go y0...and i still said i can do it for free but they wanted to pay....not so much....around 500 bucks which i will spend on kid's swimming and other activities at the centre anyway

the wb is not off. Its slightly off centre towards red which was intentional. I don't believe a photo should show true a true visual at all times. Besides what's perfect or not is more a matter of perception
#773
off would mean its away from the centre to the point that it makes it look unrealistic. again, a slight variation may look out of place to you....and may look more appealing to someone else.
dont be geek squad
you can post a photo that is perfect according to your defintion....and there would be those who can still pick what doesnt look perfect to them....u know what i mean.

I do tend to geek squad on some things...and this is why I have too many damn pictures strewn across my hdd...psd files, raw files, web jpegs...damn web jpegs come out flat looking too damn often like that wedding picture one...the original looks a million times better...the one posted looks cold and flat where the original looks warm and deep

matt...this is for you. first time ever shooting fireworks....bulb mode ftw for sure and the cable release was very handy. it would have been much more helpful if was standing either further away or had a more wide angle lens...but nonetheless.
