haha....my point was (and this is how i learned) that while 1.8 is kickass...it will obviously reduce your depth of field so if you are standing not at a reasonably close distance from your subject, the focus wont be sharp enough.

similar shot to yours...i took these when i got my fifty about one year ago

notice the sharp centre in this one....this was at f2.2
