HI, I have a b16 and recently drained the MT fluid, when I went to put new stuff in I noticed that the fluid check level bolt was completely stripped. Anyways so I added fluid by taking out the V.S.S..

My question is about how much do I need to add to bring it up to appropriate level?

I checked in my manual and it said the capacity is like 1.9 quarts.
Is that number to fully fill it up exceeding the fill line?

Any help is much appreciated.

ohhh that's a tough one.... most ppl undo the bolt, then fill through the VSS and let the excess run off. but in your case you can't do that.... I'd recommend you helicoil that hole mah man, then fill the case with regular 10W30 and flush out any chips from drilling. once you flushed the case with 10W30, refill it with Honda MTF and away you go!

anyone got a pic of where to drain it and fill it? i have a D15B7 and i cant find the hole.

^^ OMFG can't find the hole.... hahaha ... ok I need to get my mind out of the bedroom and in the garage

well, the drain bolt you can't miss... it's the only one where a 3/8 ratchet fits in - no socket needed.

the fill bolt... well, peep the pic in the tranny help post re: tranny identification. there is a pic there

Ratchet hole is the drain. 12mm nut is the fill hole.

alright well maybe that's why i couldn't find it, it's under the car haha. common sense i guess huh, and i assume the fill hole is at the top.

You can fill it from the top by removing the VSS sensor I think it's called. But I wouldn't want to damage it. The fill hole I think is safer.
