Ticket For not have a 0 Blood alcohol level on g2 need help plz

Heres the story,

I just got pulled over yesterday just because the cop wanted to make sure im not "violating" my conditions, he ask for everyone elses drivers license or id except for me, he didnt ask me for my drivers license at all, all i gave him was my ownership and my insurance papers. Everything checked out and he said we can go on our way.

STUPID ME i have been drinkn that nite but not much, a scent of alcohol on me, i needed directions so i went back and talk to the cop and he smells the alcohol now, runs a breathalyzer and its reads alert meaning i shouldnt be driving. i currently have my g2, NOW he demands my drivers license. Then i realize i didnt even have it on me after searching the car FOR 30 mins.

Keep in mind i was in the backseat of his car already, after the breathalyzer, and if i seemed impaired he wouldnt have let me out to search the car. I have 3 other people in the car with me at the moment to corroberate my story.

I just wanna know if i can get the cop for not going by protocol or something technical to kinda get rid of this ticket.

the cop was even sure i gave him my drivers license but in fact it was at home! cuz i calld my sister to check.

I COULD HAVE AVOIDED THIS JUST BY LEAVING WITHOUT ASKING FOR DIRECTIONS. anyways wat do u guys think.

Ticket #1 - Class g2 license holder - drive when blood alcohol concentration above zero

Ticket #2 - Driver fail to surrender license

12 hour suspension (registered a "Warn" on an approved screening device)

with your G2 you should not be drinking and driving at all. If you fight the tickets, you will lose.

FIRST hand experience, you'll lose. The cop can actually suspend your license for 30 days, so you're lucky its just 12 hours. You'll pay $250 to get it back, on top of the other tickets.
IMO get your G. Don't bother fighting it.

I feel sorry for you, remember this lesson my friend. Drink and drive is no joke. We might think we are capable of driving under alcohol influence, but not in the eyes of the law.

Some tickets are not worth fighting for, because you have no ground to stand on.

I totally agree. There is no point in fighting the ticket, because you will lose.

^same as the ticket he will be paying...and just so you know if you want to fight and lose which most likely you will, then you might get fined to the maximum fine they have set for all those things.

You could try and fight it. However get a good lawyer and not some traffic court 'win or it's free type'. It won't be cheap and there's still a good chance you'll lose.

well first off thanks to those for your opinion

reason for not having a g
I couldnt get insured till i was 21 (no car + dads insurance sky rocket cuz of my brother short after i got my g1)(22 this year)

#2 i think you all have at least had one or 2 beers g2 or not, so don gimme that.

and so ya'll know it was the smell of alcohol that got me booked not my driving i know i was perfectly fine.

#3 I was asking wat u guys think about me getting the cop for not following protocol.

Cmon he pulls me over only takes my Ownership and Insurance, checks ALL MY PASSENGERS ID, and FORGETS TO ASK FOR MINE! thats the only thing that mite give me a slight edge on this thing.

I highly doubt that will get you off the ticket. Forgetting to ask for your drivers lic. the first time around haha yeah right.

IMO You could try and fight it in court. You might be able to get off on some technically, but it's highly unlikely.

dude sorry to hear that.

but i can not help asking you , what were you thinking ?!?!?!?!?!. If you knew you drank why would you even go ask the police for directions

Anyhow , best thing you can do is get rid of your car or hope that you can transfer the ownership unders your dads/ mom name so that you can pay a lower insurance.
