Stock CD player acting up

I've got a 99 Civic coupe with the stock cd player. It's been great except lately it's started to skip a bit when I listen to CD-R's. None of the CD's I have are scratched so I know that it isn't the discs themselves, and despite it skipping at pretty similar parts of certain songs, it kinda just randomly skips ahead a couple seconds every so often. "Real" cd's don't have this problem, however.

Any one else experience this problem with their stock players or know how to correct this problem?

Any lense cleaner should fix this. I had a simliary problem with a friends car, and fixed it by just cleaning the lense

The problem might be with the cd-r's you are using or the way you are burning them too. Some cd-r's are REALLY CHEAP. I say this having bought the cheapest cdrs possible for the past 6 years with no problems. I finally bought the worst pack ever. These things are so bad the only thing that can read the outer edge of them is a computer, they skip to all hell in my deck, and its an mp3 deck so theres a big read buffer and they still skip. Try different discs or a slower burn speed.
