hi guys i have a d16y5 and i have no vtec and i duno how 2 fix it



ok here goes i rev the car in 2nd geer lets say then it wil pass the 5.5rpm and no vtec so then it wil rev until 7000rpm and wilnot go any further there is no engin comed or anthing like that its not a engin limiter it just kinda dosent want 2 rev any higher

i have a clean air filter i even put the solanoid on a switch and jurned it on and it opens but nothing hapenes


be4 it used 2 all of a suden rev realy high and a booste in power now nothin


any ideas what 2 try ???

anything else u need 2 know i can test ??

blown engine? if you rev it much past 7000... ummm... its not a gsr or type r...

its a wierd one this i just changed all my ignition cus my coil wasent working propery and stil wilnot go over 7000rpm

i duno whay the vteck wont kick in tho the only thing i can think of is if there was a pos in the system and its blocked something up i have changed the solanoid and nothing happened exept me snapping the bold off in the head that was fun 2 get out

yea i allready blew 1 motor up shifting at 7500rpm every gear dont try that boys and girls i spun a bearing or some **** i duno it was loud hehehehe

drove the car home soulding like i was pounding a hammer on a sheat of steal every 10th of a seckond but o well there was lots of metal fileings in the pan wen i swapped the motor hahaha and even in the vteck solanoid mesh thing

yea i have a nock sensor fault popping up all the time then it goes away again what wil that do ?

i had my timeing done kieran did it and i stil got the code ??????

the used the light and lined it up with the v i think that was good


i just had the dixxy all taken apart so its probly off again but even with the timeing done i dont think i had full fevs again or powerfull vteck

I beleive that if the knock sensor is not working properly either will you VTEC....just a thought

yea i duno it has worked be4 wen the light is on i think

so if the vtec(happy ****er ) aint working properly why would my motor not rev up all the way ????

i can feel it kick in the vteck but its not v strong i dont think that is the problem its the fact that that motor cant rev up all the way and i have no idea why

ok i just filled the car with gass and added injector cleaner in with the fill like i allways do but the engin light is stil on and its code 23 knocks sensor but now i have a full tank the car started real quick and i set off out the garage and the trafik was moveing so i stomped on the cass and wolla the vtec kicked in at 5.5rpm but i still dont have full rev up until 8000 it stops at 7 redline but o well im happy it worked so wtf now what could be the problem fuel pump or something ???
