Power locks and windows

Im about to start re-doing my entire interior and I just ran into a little dilemma. Im going to be painting the plastics and dying the door panels but my car didnt come with any power options which I really want. So im wondering what to do? Are there kits that I can purchase to make my windows and locks power and if so could i put the switches beside the hand brake? Let me know

Yes and yes.

Let me know what you want.

Heres some threads about it......My responce is on the third page.......Door lock motors are around $30 each, or $50 installed and ready to hook up to an alarm/keyless entry kit.

As for the windows, here's a website that gives you the lowdown on what is involved in an install of a power window kit.

Kit's are around $250 - $300.....depending on the quality, and what parts it comes with....ie....with or without wires and switches. Install is a little time comuming.....I usually mount the motors, run the wires though the door. and hook up the switches for around $100, but the real satisfaction is trying it yourself .....just take your time....read the website info and the instructions that come with the kits, and it should be a job you'll be proud to say you did yourself.

I was in your shoes along time ago......had to learn it like everyone else.....reading, and lots of install work.

PM me when you decide......oh, by the way......wish you luck in your job hunt.

Are those prices in US?:|
I've looked at autoloc before and they seem like a quality product but are a bit pricey for me right now. Power locks are somethin I am thinking of doing really soon. leaning over is startin to hurt my back.

Hopefully i get a call-back

The prices I wrote are Canadian.

The web site is American.

Anytime I sell something, I quote Canadian $$'s.

They are not made by Autoloc.....they only put thier name on them. They are made oversea's for a buch of different companies over here. So you would see the same kit being sold under different names. We get the products 50-75% of the time from the manufacturer before they get a "name" on them. It save's us some cash that way........no need to pay for a "name" when we don't have too, unless the "Name" turns out to be cheaper in price due to the quanity that the company buy's.

Ie......if I go to the manufacturer(oversea's) to get a light..........they might charge me $5 each.

Say Eurolite/Ractive goes there too.......they can get the same light for only $2.50.

I can't compete with the amount of light's that Eurolite/Ractive would buy.........(1000's compared to.....10 - 20 for me).

If Eurolite turns around and sells the light to me for $3.50.......I would be saving $1.50 a light. In this case, I would get it from Eurolite instead of the manufacturer.

Understand?

Let me know if you want one.
