Buying used 2002 used. 2 questions tho' Mileage and Power locks/windows

The car I'm looking at has 56,000km.
Selling for $17,000.
Anyone have any idea what a good asking price would be for it?

The other thing is, it has a sport package, but it's not an Si.

It has power windows and locks.
I'd like to avoid power anything in a car, just 'cause in the long run if something happens to it, it costs more to fix.

Any of you guys have power windows/locks, ever have any problems?
Or know how historically Honda has been with power windows and locks?

Thanks.

I personally think $17 000 is way to over priced for that car. A buddy of mine is selling his 2002 Si for $14,000. 60xx kms...

The dealership I traded my 03 LX Coupe to recently sold it for $14g's. It had only 62000k's and was in mint shape.

I had 0 problems with anything on that car.

Civics are very reliable cars. I think the one your looking at is the LXG Sedan if im not mistaken...as far as electrical problems go you shouldnt be concerned, nothings going to happen. Keep looking around...check the autotrader.ca

i don't wanna say what i got for mine on trade, but it was no where NEAR 17k..
and it was a mint Si, everything like new..with the toys left on it
mileage was pretty close to that as well..somewhere around the 70,000 mark

full electrics, and nothing ever went wrong with it

anything over 11k for that IMO would be nuts

Wow no ****...
So all of you think it's overly priced at $165000. Good to know.
I'm guessing you guys think I should ask for $12500 or just under that then.
Glad I posted before I went in there tomorrow to talk to the guy.

if the guy's looking to get that much over the value already i'd be shopping elsewhere..
he's obviously looking for a mark

Whip, it's at a dealership.
So I'm assuming the markup is higher because of that.
I'm just skeptical on getting a car from a private sale...

To be honest, the new ones are ugly and I'd like to steer clear of them.
That's why I'd like to grab a fairly low mileage car now, while I can.

I'm a newb here but I thought I would just add that I just picked up a 2002 Civic Si with 66,000kms for $14000 at a large Honda dealership here in hamilton, so I think you are geeting screwed big time if you pay $17,000 for that car. Just my opinion though

ya totally spend the extra dough and get a new car with warranty etc... that's crazy overpriced, and don't worry about the power stuff breaking it'll be fine, it's a civic after all

the civics are prery good..between 01-05 ive only replaced a handful of power door lock acctuaotrs and a few power windows motors/regulators....and like 3-4 master door switches.....but thats still very good considering the # of 01-05 civics on the road....and i would say 90% of the repairs i did were on the 4 doors....coupes seemed to be better.....hope this helps
