neutral safety switc???

ok i'm installing a 2 way pager/ remote start unit on my crx. all is good except the remote start. i cant figure out whats wrong it says that the car will start in neutral, but my car wont start in neutral normally. its a 5 speed, but i still have to push the clutch in to start it even if its in neutral. i was reading something about a neutral safety start switch or something, but wouldnt that just be allowing it to start in gear or just in nuetral??? plus where is this switch located if it exists??
thanks in advance

it doens't matter what gear your in, it wont start unless the clutch is done (by defualt)

this is to prevent starting the car and jerking the car if its in gear like CM mentioned

if you bypass the switch on the clutch pedal it will start regardless if the clutch is pushed down or not but then you run the risk, and have to make sure you always leave your car in neutral when you leave

my car dont have the nuetral safety switch anymore, which is good cuz I dont personally like having to press the clutch down to start the car...and I always leave it in nuetral or check before I start the car anyways.

in all hondas 90 and newer they have that sensor installed by law or something like that to jump it all you need to do is jump the connections as its a simple ground out switch...so in order for your car starter to work u need to disable that switch or should have gotten a kit for a manual transmission car

if you want to disable the neutral safety, all you have to do is..
raech up to the swith under the pedal and take the two wires that are coming from it , splice them and join them together. this will bypass the switch and you will be able to start the car without pressing the clutch...

now remember, when you have the alarm installed and you want to remote start the car, there is no way you can ever be in gear when this happens.. because in order to remote start the car there is a sequence that you have to preform in order to start the car..
that being 1, pull the E brake, 2, turn the hey off( the car will contine to run) 3, open the door and get out. in a few secounds after you close the door the car will turn off..
so now you know the car is in neytral when you got out and there is no needto worry about being in gear.. if you were in gear befor you got out the car would have stalled...
if you have any more questions, feel free to PM me..
thanx
