you can bypass the wire, the clutch switch is just a simple open/close circuit.
was your car ever an auto and got it converted to manual? if so it might have been left out, mine was not hooked up.
Can you start your car normally now without the clutch pedal down?
if you look up under the dash you should be able to see it, the whole assembly is quite large and the switch will be up more under the dash.

If I were you then I would seriously sell that remote starter and get one desgned for a manual car because what you have hooked up right now is potentialy very dangerous as your car could easily start moving if left in gear, and just think what would happen if you car was parked near an intersection and you accidently started it in gear and it rolled into traffic. Huge liabilty and not worth the risk, do the smart thing and get the proper remote starter for your car, I was in your shoes and I did.

On remote starters designed for manuals theres a procedure everytime you shutdown the car. Set the e brake, press the remote start button, remove key, get out and lock door. The car will turn off shortly after locking the door. Thats how the remote starter knows the car isnt in gear.

Is this unit by chance a compustar or viper unit? Cause I know that both of these units have a certian model that offers both standard and automatic modules in one unit which are selectable by a switch on the back usually. If you have one of these unit then you will have that extra wire for the neutral safety switch but you wont need to use it.

you will have a plug on top of the clutch pedal with two wires going to it you will need a relay to bypass it or you can just join the two together but if you do it that way you will no longer have to press in your clutch pedal to start your car. I don't recomend that way because you compromise your cars safety.if you need to know how to hook up the relay call me 905-826-8998 and will either explain it too you or draw you a schematic.

what will actually happen if you try to start the engine with the car in gear? Will it start, lurch forward, and stall? if thats the case, then it shouldn't move more than 10cm if your handbrake is on.
