installing aftermarket tachometer.

any website shows step by step on installing tachometer on a eg hatch?.

power, ground, 12volt acc, and the tack wire is a blue wire under the hood, mine was lokated driverside close to the firewall behind the strut mounting point. it was capped off so you can just uncap it and plug the wire in...

easy wire job, pain in the *** running wires through dash.

where is the tach signal wire?..
the same place as Boostzex said?..

yes

on my 5th gen its right behind the windshield in the engine bay.

look up in the right hand corner on the drivers side and theres a bundle of wires there.


blue wire with black cap on end

so there are wires for a tach in a car without a tach.... thats news to me, i dont get why they didnt just put one in like in the si's (part of the cluster)

they do...

all civics come prewired....

yup, I've put Si clusters (with a tach) in every Civic I've owned... can't stand that aftermarket tach look!
