how can i remove the rolling windows handle on my 92 hb?

how can i remove the rolling windows handle on my 92 hb?

i want to remove the door panel.
so i have to remove the windows handel first~!

there is a metal clip holding the crank on to the rod...the clip is on the backside of the handle..you need to pull it off first

just slide a screw driver in behind the handle, you will feel the horseshoe shaped snap ring...

The ebst tool I have used for this job is a metal coathanger. Bend the end to make a very small hook and use the hook to pull the horshoe off.

Watchout though...that clip is under load and is likely to fly off similar to a spring...so don't loose it.

amateurs... a RAG works the best... you take aaron's terry cloth towel, roll it up and slip it behind the horseshoe ring, and work it back and forth, it'll snap off.

I have done it the way Happy described and found it to be the best of the ways IMO.

Just dont loose the clip
