Take the center peice off (the plastic near the base), and see if the nuts are loose. If they are, retighten them.

What I mean by plastic, is the part between the front seats on the floor.

ok well i went to tighten it. now there's another problem... i dont' know if i touched anything else in there by mistake but now me e-break light is always on. i know there's a thread here from some other person but that don't apply to me. it worked fine until i tighten some nuts and bolts... i tried messing around witht he sensor switch right at the e-break but no luck... e-break works though... just the light is messed now

the e-brake sensor is like a switch ...
if the contacts touch then the light will stay on so it must've been over tightened or it got caught so it won't detach itself when you lower the lever..... but that's nothing big coz it's not like your brakes won't work

yea so right now the only thing is.. its warning you that ur ebrake is engaged, might was well check some fuses or pull out the battery for 5-10mins then put it back, that'll reset things
who knows

yes... thanks for all the help... I got it to go off. I did 2 things, disconnected the battery and top up my break fluid. fluid wasn't really low but it was like halfway from low and high. so it did the trick, not sure which one but it's gone
